One of the most contestable topics in any diet program is meal timing. Sure, you're given the exact food items to consume. There are also specific instructions on how to prepare them. But when exactly should you eat those healthy foods, and how often should you eat them?
Cinderella Solution (CS) attempts to answer these questions by using tactical precision. This means that the type of calories you consume and when you eat them are all laid out. You have the freedom to choose which food items to take in, or what time to take them. However, you have to do them within the limits set by CS.
Meal Timing: Ignite Phase
The Ignite Phase is a 2-week cleansing and conditioning activity. The goal is to enhance metabolism, improve delivery of nutrients, and ensure the unhampered elimination of wastes.
You're given three separate meals in this phase - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Three meals a day give the body enough time to process the food that you take in, send out the nutrients, and throw out whatever is harmful.

Meal Timing: Launch Phase
The Launch Phase is another 2-week activity that takes advantage of the body's newly primed processes. The endgame is of course, a Cinderella success story. You're given four meals a day this time. The extra meal is more of a healthy snack time that occurs between lunch and dinner.
Carb and protein intake are heightened in order to compensate for the fat burning that happens during workouts. In this phase, workouts are essential to the success of CS. The more effort you put in, the better the fat burning activity in the body.
Digestion is already top notch at the end of the Ignite Phase. That's why the body will have no troubles taking the extra meal in this phase. The additional meal time was put in place because you get hungry more often when your body's metabolism and delivery are functioning efficiently. So, instead of grabbing snacks that will satisfy your cravings, CS gives you several kinds of fruits and grains in the Power Carbs category. They are easy to prepare, or require no preparation at all.
When To Eat
Now comes the most important question - when do you eat? CS gives you 3 meals in the Ignite Phase and 4 meals in the Launch Phase. You're also given serving sizes, but what time should you eat?
CS recommends that you take your breakfast within a couple of hours from your waking time. For instance, if you got up at six and began working out at seven, then eight would be a good time to eat breakfast.
Sample Meal Timing Chart | |
---|---|
Meal | Time |
Breakfast | 08:00 |
Lunch | 12:00 |
Snack | 16:00 |
Dinner | 20:00 |
You'll then have to wait 3-4 hours before taking your next meal. So, that would be lunch time at 12 noon, snack time at 3 or 4 PM, and dinner at 8 PM. The wait time gives the body enough time to digest the food, distribute the nutrients, and process the excess as waste.
